My prayer for every lead pastor is that you would get to know at least one church planter. Invest in him personally. Coach him. Give him a place to ask questions. Lead your church in supporting the church plant. Pray over him, but don’t just pray over him, but give monthly to the vision. Don’t be frivolous, but remember that:
“The single most effective evangelistic methodology under heaven is planting new churches.” – Peter Wagner
The reality is, if you’re not supporting a church plant and/or church planter, YOU are actually the bottleneck hindering the spread of the Gospel. You can grow the church you’re at, you can even go multi-site, but that’s all growth by addition. If you’re consumed with seeing the Kingdom of God spread exponentially, you will encourage, champion, and send church planters and church planting.
