Every now and again, a book or blog post catches my attention and I just stop an ponder at what I read. Usually this happens when I don’t agree with it, but need to think it through. In this case, Ben Arment absolutely nailed the inequality of church planters.
Not every church planter is the same. I’m calling for full disclosure. A guy that plants in his hometown community, where he was born and raised and then served on-staff at a megachurch is not the same kind of church planter who moved from outside the community to start from scratch.
What different expectations would you expect from a “hometown hero” versus someone new to the community?
